Department of Computer Science

 The Department of Computer Science was created in 2007. Currently, our department includes four faculty members, one assistant, and forty students. The objective of developing this department is to cultivate our students to have the professional skills of information technologies and understand theories of computer science. The courses are divided into four categories: software design as well as system management, network as well as database, image processing, and technical English as well as employment guidance.

 

 

OUR MISSION

Department of Computer Science of Kainan University focuses on training students to be knowledgeable and skillful information technicians.

As information science continues to blossom into a prosperous industry, we nurture our students with software/hardware development knowledge and skills to face the increasing demand market.

By focusing on the elementary technology and advanced knowledge of computer science, our department is at the forefront of information technology in Taiwan. We are new, but we work hard to be the best in computer science area.

 

 

CIRRCULUM

          Our department's academic program is designed to advance the career of professionals in computer science by enhancing their understanding of various forms of information science and related technology. Our program is the result of the joint effort of  Kainan University and the industry community in Taoyuan to provide up-to-date knowledge of the theory and practice of information technology.

          Our curriculum not only improves students' knowledge of computer science and Internet technology, but also helps students develop a full range of information technical skills. Our program includes lectures, workshops, seminars, internships, and visits to companies.

          In keeping with the needs of economic development in Taiwan and the creation of science and industrial parks, our department emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, and a broad-based education and specialization. Undergraduate studies concentrate on producing computer science skilled in new forms of technology. We work on applying the graduate program for our department.

          The broad foundation of our innovative program opens up highly interesting job opportunities to our graduates in industry, computer software/hardware, consulting, as well as in international organizations.

          Because computer science is a fast growing field of study, employment opportunities in the public and private sectors are virtually limitless.
