The Office of International Programs and Services has been established at Kainan to help ensure that Kainan students develop in an environment rich in diversity derived from both a diverse faculty and a diverse student body. In today's ever increasingly globalized society, it has become more important for students to develop not only an awareness of cultural difference found around the world, but to go beyond that and also develop the interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate the sharing of ideas, values, customs, and cultures across borders. Students must develop both academically and culturally in manners that facilitate the exchange of sometimes differing ideas with minimum conflict. They must also develop an appreciation for the benefits of living in a world where international as well as intercultural relations are commonplace. One of the ways Kainan students learn this is through the university’s extensive network of sister schools, which brings students from around the world to Kainan and allows Kainan students to study abroad |
