[Announcement] Prevent Norovirus by washing hands frequently

As the season changes, to prevent the spread of Norovirus, please strengthen personal hygiene by washing hands frequently with soap, and pay attention to food hygiene. Norovirus is a pathogen that causes viral gastroenteritis, with high infectivity. It is mainly transmitted through the consumption of contaminated water or food, and can also be transmitted through close contact with patients or inhalation of virus-containing vomit droplets. Implement Norovirus prevention measures as follows: (1) Please pay attention to personal and environmental hygiene, do not drink or eat raw food, use public chopsticks and spoons when eating with others, and develop good personal hygiene habits such as washing hands frequently (after using the toilet, before eating or preparing food). If there are symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever, headache, and muscle soreness, seek medical attention early and pay attention to supplementing water and nutrition. (2) Sick individuals should not go to work or school: Food and beverage industry workers (chefs) with Norovirus infection symptoms should stop handling food, and food and beverage industry workers should stop working or attending classes until the symptoms are relieved for 48 hours before resuming work. (3) Strengthen environmental cleaning and disinfection and protection for cleaners: Vomit, feces, and indoor environments of diarrhea patients must be cleaned and disinfected, and cleaners should wear masks and gloves. After completing the cleaning work, they must wash hands thoroughly with soap and water. Office of Student Affairs, Physical Education Division
